๐ด Stream Alert Bot
Post to Discord when a YouTube channel uploads or a Twitch channel goes live, once per video and once per stream.
Stream Alert Bot is self-hosted Python source that watches YouTube channels and Twitch streamers and posts to your Discord the moment someone uploads or goes live. YouTube uploads come from YouTube's public RSS feed with no API key, and @handles are resolved automatically. Twitch go-live alerts use the official Twitch API and need a free Twitch developer app (client id and secret, about two minutes). Every video and stream is announced once, even across restarts. YouTube RSS and handle resolving were live-tested, delivery was tested against a local webhook, and the Docker image was built and run. Beta: the official Twitch API path is unit-tested with mocked responses but not yet live-tested with real Twitch keys, posting into a real Discord server has not been tested, and the optional keyless Twitch mode relies on an unofficial third-party service.
